Palmer Park Colorado Springs | Best hiking trails 🚵🚶

Palmer Park in Colorado Springs is one of the best trails right in the heart of the city. It's so close to Colorado Springs so you don't have to drive very far to get that mountainous, secluded feeling. The air is so refreshing and the Palmer Park overlook is something else! There are trails for beginners and more advanced hikers, too! It's also a dog friendly national park. Just grab yourself a bottle of water and have clothing layers, podcast ready, and go.

Hiking and biking in Colorado Springs

Palmer Park is a regional park in Colorado Springs. The views are amazing. View high rock ledges and bathe in rugged wilderness vibes. It's the largest park inside of a metro area. Go horseback riding or biking. Riders have the right of way. Enjoy some alone time and chill.

Dog Friendly Park

If you are a dog lover, there is a dog park as you enter into Palmer Park on the right side. Dog parks in Colorado Springs are hugely beneficial to our residents with dogs. Some fun facts! The founder of Colorado Springs - William Jackson Palmer, donated the almost 700 acre to Colorado Springs. In 1873, Henry Austin used the land to raise sheep. Pretty cool! 🤓

Here's a short video of an easier hike. You'll have to explore the rest of Palmer Park yourself! Palmer Park hours are from 5am to 9pm daily. Happy hiking!
