If you're looking for a great dog park to take your pup, Bear Creek Dog Park is the best in my opinion! There are lots of trees so the hike is nice. The creek is so peaceful. You get a real mountain feel in the city of Colorado Springs without having to drive too far. It's a great dog park that is in Colorado Springs that is nearby and easy to find.
There is a separate fenced in space for small dogs or dogs who don't want to be bothered. It's an off-leash dog park that has a training site as well which is neat! Bring your dog to train in a fenced-in, private section. Just please remember to clean up after your dog and follow the dog park rules!
